Your new role
As International Medical Director, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks such as:
- Develop and execute on the Clinical Development Plans in line with the project and therapy area strategy.
- Take a leading role in the Clinical Development Team.
- Ensure that clinical trials in all phases of development are designed appropriately, addressing the medical needs and enabling clear decision-making.
- Provide scientific and medical expertise, including medical oversight, to clinical trials in rare diseases.
- Engage with external medical and scientific experts to discuss scientific/medical insights and obtain guidance relevant for the execution of clinical development programmes.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to regulatory documents/interactions with Health Authorities.
- Be responsible for the clinical interpretation of emerging clinical trial data.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with ongoing developments in the therapeutic area in terms of new scientific findings and research methodologies and share knowledge within the area of expertise with the rest of the organisation.

The department Rare Endocrine and Haemato-Renal disorders is part of Diabetes & Rare Diseases under the clinical development function “Medical & Translational Science” and located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a strong clinical drug developer and team player who has a patient-centric and entrepreneurial mindset whose profile is closely aligned with the following parameters:
- You hold a MD, preferably also a PhD.
- You have a strong scientific and clinical profile within renal diseases. Rare disease experience would be advantageous.
- You have a solid basis in clinical drug development from early to late clinical phases, including comprehensive experience of interactions with health authorities.
- You have clinical trial experience, ideally in autoimmune renal diseases, preferably across all development phases.
- You have knowledge of advanced trial designs (e.g. adoptive and platform trials).
- Excellent English language proficiency – both spoken and written is essential.
As a person you are a doer who proactively takes initiative and ownership of projects, acting with confidence and responsibility. You are a true team player who listens, consults and shares knowledge to create results through collaboration.
