Electrical Engineer

BWSC – Ever better energy!
Join us in our mission of building a world of sustainable energy and make a meaningful impact on the future of power generation and energy conversion.

BWSC is a leading player in the power generation industry, specializing in the service, operation, and maintenance solutions for power plants and we build Engine based heat and/or power plants as a turnkey EPC contractor. We are at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, working closely with customers and partners to develop and deliver energy infrastructure projects across the globe. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and environmental stewardship sets us apart in the industry.

The position
You will play a central role in the electrical engineering of EPC proposals, developing technical concepts, defining electrical solutions, and supporting tender activities. At the same time, you will contribute to the engineering, troubleshooting, testing, and technical support of operating plants and electrical projects involving MV/LV systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, UPS, and LV installations.

The role combines proposal work with electrical engineering and technical support to operating plants. While most of your work will be office-based, occasional site visits will be required to support projects and operating plants.

Within a larger engineering function, you will be part of a smaller, collaborative team where your expertise directly shapes solutions and gives you ownership of projects from concept to on-site delivery. At the same time, you will benefit from the wider network of colleagues for guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

Your responsibilities include:

Take ownership of electrical engineering for EPC proposals and other business opportunities, supporting tender activities from initial concept through technical submission.
Develop technical concepts, define electrical solutions, prepare technical specifications, and support proposal costing through equipment selection, engineering estimates, and supplier quotations.
Design and engineer electrical modifications, system upgrades, and equipment replacements for operating plants and brownfield projects across the MV/LV scope.
Prepare and maintain electrical engineering documentation, technical specifications, and supplier deliverables for operating plants and modification projects.
Provide troubleshooting, technical guidance, and engineering support for operating plants, both remotely and on-site.
Support engineering activities related to testing, commissioning, and site implementation when required.

Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated electrical engineer who takes initiative, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and thrives in a role where your expertise directly shapes real-world solutions.

The ideal candidate has:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Marine Engineering with an electrical background.
Experience with electrical engineering in power generation, industrial facilities, energy, PtX, or similar technical environments.
Experience with or a good understanding of MV/LV electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, UPS, and LV installations.
Experience with technical tendering, proposal engineering, or development of technical solutions.
Experience preparing engineering documentation and technical specifications.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical tasks, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and OEMs.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and general IT tools.
Some practical site experience or field engineering experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

What do we offer?
By joining BWSC, you get the chance to impact and contribute to meaningful projects that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. You will join a team where your engineering insight matters, where you can influence technical decisions, and where you get to work with equipment and challenges that most engineers rarely encounter.

The role offers room to grow your expertise, explore new ideas, and work with a wide range of technologies and locations. We offer an exciting position in a dynamic, skilled, and collaborative work environment, with ample opportunities for professional development and growth.

We have a good canteen, fitness facilities, and an active Staff Club contributing with various types of events and activities. Our HQ is located in Allerød, near the train station and just a 30-minute ride from the centre of Copenhagen.
