Senior project manager
Your future team:
You will become part of our Project Execution team, working alongside experienced project managers and specialists in safety, planning, and project support. The team focuses on delivering some of ROCKWOOL’s largest and most complex international CAPEX projects, typically ranging from €15M to €300M, with project durations of 3–5 years. Our work supports capacity expansion, environmental upgrades, operational safety improvements, digitalization of operations, and new production technologies.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, operating companies, and global stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation. Knowledge sharing, strong teamwork, and continuous improvement are central to how we work.
We are looking for senior project managers to join us across two portfolios: (1) new wool production lines and our conversion programme, and (2) new systems production and intralogistics projects. You will be positioned in the portfolio that best matches your experience—whether your strength is large-scale industrial line build/upgrade delivery or complex systems and logistics implementation in live operations. Based on your profile and aspirations, we will jointly agree the right project match and onboarding path.
What you will be doing:
As senior project manager, you will be responsible for leading large international engineering and construction projects from early concept through execution and delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead delivery of international CAPEX projects (€15M–€300M) from concept through commissioning and operational handover
Manage cross-functional project teams across engineering, IT/OT, operations, supply chain and suppliers
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget
Manage stakeholders, governance, and reporting to steering committees
Lead risk, interface and dependency management across engineering, operations, EHS, finance and suppliers
Ensure operational readiness: training, documentation, spare parts, maintenance strategy, and hypercare plan
Capture and implement lessons learned; contribute to standard ways of working across the CAPEX portfolio
What you bring:
You are a structured and results-oriented project leader who thrives in a complex international environment and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.
We imagine that you bring:
A technical degree, preferably in engineering or a related field
Proven experience managing large engineering, intralogistics or construction projects, ideally in an international environment with strong project controls
Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
Ability to separate delivery leadership from technical ownership; drives decisions without owning design
Experience managing complex CAPEX investments and cross-functional project teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational levels and cultures
Strong financial understanding of project budgets, forecasting, and reporting
We know that you might not meet all the things on this list, but you might bring skills and experience that we haven’t even included here.
